Perilla frutescens var. crispa

Famous wrapper leaf from the east. Also known as aojiso or perilla. It's a must in many dishes of Japanese or Korean. Koreans use them to wrap grilled meat with garlic, green chili, and their spicy sauce. Japanese use it for sushi, both for flavor or garnish.

Our cultivar is improved by having broader leaf and strong citrus taste. Thinner leaf with red tinge and reddish backleaf.

We also have more traditional ones and also red shisho. Let us know, which one you prefer the most
