Ounce for ounce, these little spoon-shaped leaves contain more than twice as much as vitamin C as lemons and oranges. It has a soft creamy texture and subtle yet distinctive flavor. Our type is more mild which suitable as baby harvested for salads and more matured leaves for sautéed, stir fries, pairing best with invertebrates dishes like scallops, oysters, and snails.
Although they aren't related and have different property but taste wise it's comparable with english baby spinach , for its substitute
